Minimum Standards for Support

C3 Systems SafetyNet & Security+Strategy Client Requirements:

At C3 Systems, our priority is to safeguard the integrity and security of our clients’ digital environments. We require adherence to stringent hardware and software standards, essential for protecting your business against emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

Minimum Standards for Compliance

  1. Servers:

    • Operate on Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or newer.
    • Install the latest Microsoft Service Packs and Critical Updates.
  2. Desktop PCs, Notebooks/Laptops:

    • Microsoft systems must run Windows 10 version 21H2 or newer.
    • Apple devices must operate on macOS Mojave (10.14) or later to ensure full vendor support.
  3. Software Compliance:

    • All software must be genuine, properly licensed, and supported by the vendor.
  4. Network Security:

    • Protect networks with a licensed, vendor-supported hardware firewall.
    • Secure wireless data traffic with at least WPA2 data encryption.

Vendor Support Challenges

In the rapidly evolving tech landscape, vendors frequently phase out support for older versions of operating systems and software, compelling businesses to upgrade. This practice, while frustrating, is often defended as necessary for advancing technology and improving security. Unfortunately, this leaves many businesses in a difficult position, facing forced upgrades to maintain security and functionality.

We understand the challenges and expenses associated with these forced upgrades. At C3 Systems, we’re not just your service provider—we’re your partner in navigating these complexities. Our team is committed to helping you understand your options and will support you through the process of upgrading and securing your systems.

Policy on Non-Compliance

Clients whose systems do not meet these standards are guided towards upgrading to ensure their business’s security. Using unsupported software or hardware exposes your network to significant risks, as these systems no longer receive updates for new vulnerabilities. Without vendor support, your environment is vulnerable to cyber threats, and our ability to protect you under these circumstances is limited.

Keeping Standards Current

We periodically update our standards to reflect the most recent vendor support policies and technological advancements. For detailed information on the lifecycle of Microsoft products and the support timeline, please visit Microsoft’s End of Product Life Cycle page.

Your security is our highest priority, and we are here to ensure that your IT infrastructure does not lag behind in both performance and protection.
